The End of the Rainbow imagines a future utopia where equality, pride, and acceptance are so deeply embedded in every facet of society, the rainbow flag— such a powerful symbol of LGBTQIA+ identity and resistance—may no longer be needed. .
In this envisioned world, people of all sexual orientations and gender identities would be universally respected, protected, and celebrated. The End of the Rainbow would look different for everyone. A symbolic place where there is no longer a need to advocate for basic rights or visibility, because these are inherently guaranteed, unquestioned and a fundamental component of society.
The installation asks the question what would this look like for each and every member of the LGBTQIA+ community?
